1779-06-21st At a meeting of the Selectmen June 211779. rd They ordered that a Town meeting should be verbally warned and held on Wednesday the 23 day of June instant at the stated place for holding Town meeting in said Town at one o’clock in the afternoon. To see what measures the Town will come in to for the procuring of the men sent for from this Town to fill up the Continental Army and for to go to Rhode Island and for to raise money for that purpose and act and do any thing relative to that affair as they in their wisdom shall think best and there was warrant issued out to each of the Constables of the town to warn that district they were Constables for accordingly.Attest Joseph Wood, T.
