1779-04-08I, the Subscriber, do hereby covenant and agree to and with the Selectmen as Overseers of the Poor
of the Town of Beverly to keep and maintain John Martin.
I, the Subscriber, do hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the Selectmen of the Town of
Beverly to keep and maintain my mother, Hannah Clark, a poor person under their care, the full term
of one-year commencing on the seventh day of April 1779 and to find & provide for and unto her
good and sufficient meat, drink, washing and lodging, both in sickness and in health, during the whole
of said term, doctors and nursing excepted, and at the expiration of said term to remove her to such
place as the Selectmen shall appoint as well clothed as I received her, for and in consideration of all
the labor she can do and the sum of sixty pounds to be paid quarterly as witness my hand this sixth
day of April 1779.

I, the Subscriber, do hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the Selectmen of the Town of
Beverly to keep and maintain Joseph Larcom, a poor person under their care, the full term of one year
commencing on the seventh day of April instant and to find and provide for and unto him good and
sufficient meat, drink, washing and lodging and apparel the whole of said term, doctors and extra
nursing excepted, and for to remove him at the expiration of said term to such place as the Selectmen
shall appoint and as well clothed as I received him for the sum of eight pounds to be paid quarterly
as witness my hand this seventh day of April 1779.

full term of one year commencing on the seventh day of April 1779 and for to find and provide for
and unto them good and sufficient apparel, meat, drink, washing and lodging both in sickness and in
health, doctors and extra nursing excepted, and at the expiration of said term to remove them to such
place as they shall appoint and as well clothed as they now are for the consideration of the sum of one
hundred nine pounds four shillings to be paid quarterly as witness my hand this eighth day of April

to keep and maintain Mary Woodberry, a poor person under their care, the full term of one year
commencing on the 7th day of April instant and find and provide for and unto her good and sufficient
meat, drink, washing and lodging both in sickness and in health, during the whole of said term,
doctors and nursing excepted, and for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to be paid
quarterly and her clothing to be returned as per inventory taken when I first received her, as witness

Beverly to keep and maintain James May, a poor boy under their care, the full term of one year
commencing on the seventh day of April instant and for to find and provide for and unto the said
James good and sufficient meat, drink, washing, lodging and apparel, the whole of said term, doctors
and extra nursing excepted, and at the expiration of said term to remove him to such place as the
Selectmen shall appoint and as well clothed as I first received him for and in consideration of the
whole of the labor the said James can do and the sum of forty-four pounds to be paid quarterly as
witness my hand this twelfth day of April 1779.

Hales till 7th of April 1779 and thirty-eight pounds 12/ for keeping of Molly Ellinwood [illegible] till
the 7th of April 1779.
