1779-03-22We, the Subscribers, Selectmen of the Town of Beverly do hereby nominate and appoint Mr. Asa
Leech, Mr. Joseph Baker, Capt. Edmund Giles, Mr. Zachariah Stone to be Sealers and Measures of
Ward in ye Town of Beverly from time to time till others be appointed in their room and for to have
two shillings and six pence per cord for each cord they shall seal and measure till further order of the
Board of Selectmen.
