1779-09-15th At a Meeting of the Selectmen Sept. 15 1779. th Ordered a Town Meeting should be verbally warned and held on Saturday the 16 instant at nine o’clock in the forenoon at the usual place for holding Town meetings in said Town. To see what measures the Town will come into for the procuring the men sent for from this Town to join the Continental Army agreeable to the resolves of the General Court of the 9th instant and raise money and act and do any thing relative thereto as they in their wisdom shall think best. And there was a warrant issued out to Constable Jonathan Dodge to warn the Ferry & Bald Hill District and one ditto to Benjamin Obear to warn the Farm’s District and one ditto to Constable Timothy Leech to warn Bass River and Royal Side [Ryal Side] district accordingly.
