1778-12-11th At a Meeting of the Selectmen December 11 1778. They ordered that a Town meeting should be warned and held on Friday the eighteenth day of December instant at the stated place for holding of Town meetings in said Town at two of the clock in the afternoon. 1ly. To see if the Town will choose some person or persons to serve on the Committee for Supplying the Soldiers families in the room of such of them as refused to serve any longer time in that office. 2ly. To determine what sum of money they will grant to be raised on the polls and estates within the said Town for to pay the Town debts and defray the necessary charges arising within the same. Viz. the charges of the war and the supply of the Soldiers families etc.. And there was a warrant issued out to Edward Trask, a constable, to warn the same accordingly. Attest. Joseph Wood, T. Clerk
