1777-03-08th At a meeting of the Selectmen Mar. 81777. Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Elliott forty shillings and four pence for abatements in his list as followeth. viz. Freeborn grow his, highway tax 1-3 James Lovett’s ditto returned 1-1-11 John Harmon ditto returned 0-3-8 They worked out the same on the Highways. Edmund Kimball’s the and Town tax 0-3-7 not living in the Town Benjamin Ellinwood 2d ditto absconded 0-9-11 £2-0-4 Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Hannah Giles 69/6 together with seven shillings cash [illegible] her by Joseph Wood and two bushels of corn 7/6 is in full for keeping of the wife of Peter Louis seven weeks which expired on the tenth instant. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt.
