At a meeting of the Selectmen July 1 1777.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Joseph Rae 12/ which is together with 55/6 which he
received of the soldiers under his command stationed in this Town for nine and 1/4 lb. of powder of
the Town is in full for his account for 400 layers to build breastworks with 12/ to 8 lb. of candles 7/5
for the use of the guard under his command, 15/4 repairs of a drum [illegible] company use 26/4
for10 feet of wood for the use of Fort in 1776 2/3 for 36 feet of board fort’s use.
