1777-10-07th At a meeting of the Selectmen Oct. 7 1777. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Nathaniel Wallis 21/ together with £ 3-19-0 paid him by Joseph Wood is in full for the rent of his house and damages etc. when George Groce’s family when they had the small pox in said house. Ordered the Treasurer to pay teaching Caleb Wallis 20/ for house rent for his uncle Nathaniel Wallis eight weeks and for his assistance in moving of them etc.. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. John Lovett 4th three pounds three shillings together with an account of 57 against said proprietors of Hospital is in full for rent and doctor’s bill in said Hospital for Anna Davis and wid. Anna Ellinwood and child, viz. for Anna Davis £ 1-4-0 & for said Ellinwood 2–4-0 Ordered the Treasurer to pay Zachariah Stone twenty-four shillings and two pence 12/6 of said some for 2 ½ days making carriage wheels for the Town 6/8 for work and stuff in repairing the School House and five shillings for making of a coffin for wid. Anna Ellinwood’s child. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. George Dodge £ 3-0-0 he being over taxed that sum.
