1776-06-21st At a meeting of the Selectmen June 21 1776. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Bartholomew Wallis five shillings and four pence for a pair of shoes for Joseph Pedrick, a poor boy. Ordered the Treasurer to pay the seven persons hereafter named the seven sums annexed to their names it being for charges of mounting and procuring of necessaries for cannon etc. viz. £ s d 2:17:9 To Joseph Pickett for carpenter work and timber as per his account. 6 To Wells Standley for timber for carriages. 3:2:0 To Francis Smith for labor and timber for said carriages. 1:18:4 To Mr. Jonathan Conant for carting of shot from Cambridge and a day ½ time about said guns and carriages. 16:11:6 To Daniel Wallis for his account for iron work for three carriages and other utensils for three cannon. Viz. one 18 pounders and two 9 lb. 16:13:9 To Joseph Ward £ 15:6:9 of said sum for cash paid by him to Mr. Eames and Company for hauling of three cannon from Framingham to Beverly they being the above said guns 9/ for 6 pieces for axle trees for etc. 62/ for three days spent about them. 40: 0: 0 To George Crowninshield for two six pounders bought of him for this town all which the said Treasurer is empowered to give his obligation for in the name and behalf of the Town for monies for the payment of the same. £ 80:3: 4
