At a meeting of the Selectmen May 71776.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Josiah Morgan seven pounds fourteen shillings for keeping of Mary
Butman 23 weeks in full the eighth day of April last.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Osman Trask seven shillings and six pence for hinges for the
watch house doors.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Hannah Foster 42/ for keeping of two of Joseph Pedrick’s
children seven weeks 37/4 and 4/8 for sundries found said children and Pedrick’s family when they
were sick.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Larcom three pounds in full for keeping of Joseph
Larcom till seventh of April last.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Mr. Henry Herrick twelve pounds for keeping of the Grammar
School his second quarter as per agreement.
I, the Subscriber, do hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the Selectmen of Beverly to
keep a Grammar School in said Town the term of six months commencing on the day of May
instant for the sum of twenty-four pounds to be pay quarterly witness my hand.
