1775-06-15th At a meeting of the Selectmen June 15 1775. th Ordered a Town meeting be warned and held on June the 19 instant at 4 o’clock afternoon at the stated place for holding Town meetings in said Town to see if the Town will come into some measures to procure a Town stock of provision for the benefit of the Town and act anything relative thereto that may then be thought proper and there was a warrant issued out to constable William Hazeltine to verbally warn the same. Attest. Joseph Wood, T. Clerk. At the above said meeting of the Selectmen. Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Hazeltine six pound thirteen shillings and four pence for keeping a District School near Benjamin Lovett’s agreeable to a vote of the Town. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Mr. William Hazeltine four pound of the Town’s money for one barrel of good pork for the Town use. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Ebenezer Francis six pound which together with a blanket he had of the Selectmen is in full for keeping of a District School near the mouth of the Mill Lane in this winter past agreeable to a vote of the Town.
