1775-04-21st At a meeting of the Selectmen April 21 1775. Agreed and ordered that a Town meeting be warned and held on Saturday next at 4 clock afternoon at the stated place for holding Town meetings in said Town for to take under consideration a letter from the Committee of Conference of the Town of Salem relative to the seaport towns of this County coming into some suitable measures at this present time of difficulty and distress and act thereon as they shall think is most for the public good and there was warrant issued out to Nathaniel Creesy and Isaac Thorndike, two the Constables of this town, to verbally warn the same accordingly.
