1775-02-27th At a meeting of the Selectman Feb. 27 1775. th Ordered that a Town meeting be called and held on Tuesday the 28 of February instant at 2 o’clock afternoon at the stated place for holding town meetings in said Town. 1ly. To determine what number of Minutemen they will raise. 2ly. To see what they will allow their Minutemen for their reasonable services. 3ly. Determine how often their Minutemen are to meet. 4ly. To determine on ways and means to pay their Minutemen. 5ly. To pass any votes relative to said Minutemen as they in their wisdom shall think best. 6ly. To see if the Town will have a watch For the preservation of the Town and come into such measures relative there to as may then be thought best and there was warrant issue out to the several Constables to warn the same as follows viz.. To Samuel Woodbury 3d to warn Farm and Bald Hill District to Joseph Woodberry to warn Royal Side [Ryal Side] and Bass River Districts to Wm. Elliott to warn the Ferry District.
