1775-08-09th At a meeting of the Selectmen August 9 1775. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Larkin Thorndike two pound ten shillings and one penny for one thousand and 390 feet of boards to build Watch Houses with. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Mr. Joseph Woodberry four pounds 12/10 together with a former order of twenty-four shillings is in full for his account as follows 51/ for warning of ten Town meetings and the officers to be sworn at two annual meeting and for warning of a jurors etc. 25/5 for his time and trouble in procuring the Town Standard of weights and measures and carrying them to Boston to be sealed. 23/7 for sundry weights and measures he bought for the Town and for cash paid for trying and sealing of those weights and for a pair of wooden scales for the use of the Town.
