1774-10-11th Salem Oct. 11 1774 received of Joseph Wood one of the Selectmen of the town of Beverly the sum of six pounds twelve shillings in full for the passage of Medlish Franeway and Timothy Bussuway and his child Acadian French naturals from this place to Quebec in Canada (they being Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly) to which place I promise hereby to carry them God granting leave. Samuel Pepper. th Salem Oct. 11, 1774 received of Joseph Wood one of the Selectmen of the of Beverly two pounds six shillings than four pence together with one pound three shillings in clothing is in full that the Selectmen gave me to go to Quebec as witness my hand here.
