1842-07-19In consequence of the temporary absence of Dr. Bradstreet from town on a fishing voyage
for the benefit of his health, the Selectmen have consequently made the following appointment
agreeably to the Revised Statutes, Chap.15 Section 50.

Town of Beverly. Essex County-
The undersigned Selectmen of said town do hereby appoint John I. Baker to be Town Clerk
pro tem in the absence of Dr. Edward Bradstreet & until this return or the choice of another by the
town.
