In vacation after the term of the Superior Court, begun and held at Salem, within and for the county of Essex, on the first Monday of June, being the fourth day of said month in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty three. 1735. By Law of the town of Beverly concerning the sale and use of ToyPistols. At a meeting of the Selectmen of the town of Beverly, held on this twenty third day of June A.D. 1883, it was voted to adopt the following role and regulation in regard to the sale and use of toy pistols and other dangerous articles, to wit:- No person shall sell or use within the town of Beverly, any Toy pistol or Toy cannon or sell or expose for sale, without a written license therefor from the selectmen, and other article in which explosive compounds of any kind are used, or of which such compounds form a part, under a penalty of five dollars for each and every offense.
