PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: Led by Alderman Rollins COMMUNICATION FROM HIS HONOR THE MAYOR: June 29, 1992 Dear Honorable Board: I respectfully request that you delete wage increases proposed in budget and transfer from individual personnell line items to account "Contracted Salary Negotiations and Non Contracted. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES: The Committee on The Whole to whom was referred the matter of Water and Sewer rates have considered said matter and beg leave to report as follows, to wit: Submit the accompanying order and recommend its adoption. ORDERED: That the Board of Aldermen set the water and sewer rate for fiscal year 1993 as follows: $2.19 Sewer 1.35 Water Order read once and adopted. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: #293 Municipal Budget FY93 ($49,714,231.18) ORDERED: That the sums of money recommended by His Honor the Mayor in his communication of June 15, 1992 be, and the same are hereby appropriated for the specivic purposes in the budget with the following exceptions; Delete $27,000 from Ambulance Contract Delete $137,507.36 from various salary accounts per attached list of discretionary raises. The sum of $535,578.64 to be deducted by a 3.5 percentage decrease from all non-school departments under #700. The School Department will be reduced by $550,000 the anticipated state aid education shortfall, leaving a total budget of $49,714,231.11 to be raised by the tax levy and other revenues.
