RECORDS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN The Honorable City Council City of Beverly Dear Councilors, At the meeting of the Board of Registrars on Monday, December 19, 1994, the Board certified 2878 signatures of the petition submitted by "What's Best for Beverly" Committee asking that the re-zoning of the south parcel of Black and Decker's property be rescinded. This represents 13% of the 23,547 registered voters. The required amount to have the Council reconsider the measure was 2826 or 12% of the registered voters. The Council has twenty days in which to reconsider the measure. Your options are to rescind it completely or to have it placed on the ballot by the City Clerk at the next regularly scheduled municipal election.
