Beverly Council on Aging Advisory Board Minutes
Date: October 10, 2023
Place: BCOA and Senior Center, Colon Street
Members Present: Rich Tabbut, Cynthia Montalbano, Stephanie Tallo, Susan Feeney

Meeting Called to order: 2:41 p.m.
Secretary Report Accepted by Bruce Doig, Seconded Rich Tabbut. Two items changed.
Director's Report
Building Concerns and Usage
Heating— 1 of the four furnaces was disconnected by the city's plumber because it doesn't work
and so the others could run. Mayor aware of issue
Cooling 1 of 4 units is not working. Thirty thousand dollars to repair.
Parking lot needs to be repaved.
Transportation needs are escalating
Administration and Finances
YTD budget reports reviewed. Vehicle maintenance costs are growing.
Reviewed COA Formula Grant spreadsheet.
Programs and Events
In the month of October, we will continue our monthly spotlight on different countries/cultures
with Hispanic/Latin culture on October 18'
Mystery trip to Brooksby Farms on 10/12/23
Traveling Chef coming to Senior Center on 10/12 at 11 a.m.
Upsize to Downsizing presentation 10/16
Low Intensity Training every Tuesday
Conversation Spanish Class 10/27 at 10 a.m. taught by Chris Gomez
