October 2018 Veterans Council MinutesJerry Guilebbe called the meeting to order at 5:00pm.

Reading and Approval of the Minutes
Buddy Rehal made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded and carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Financial Report – Per David Perinchief, the current balance is $12, 813.81. $480.00 was raised from the shooting event. Donations totally $100 dollars were received at the event.
There was also a cash deposit of $128.00. The Veterans Day budget has been increased to $1500.00
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Veterans Day – A discussion was held regarding the programs for Veterans Day and the Beverly Vietnam Veterans Memorial Dedication.
Fundraising – Members of the gun club would be interested in having the shooting event held every other month.
Council Banner – A discussion was held on what should be displayed on the council banner. Buddy Rehal made a motion to use the city seal. Motion was seconded and carried. David Perinchief
and Jerry Guilebbe will check with Wes Slate to see if the council can use the city seal.
NEW BUSINESS
David Perinchief received an invitation for the commission of the USS Thomas Hudner. The event will be held on December 1, 2018. Four tickets are the maximum allotted. The posts will
ask their members to see if anyone wants to go.
David Perinchief informed the council that Soldiers Home received funding from the VA and will begin constructing a new facility and tearing down the current facility.
GOOD OF THE ORDER
Jerry Guilebbe informed the council that he and Bob Laws recorded the first show of Veterans Voices. The next taping will discuss VA Benefits.
