Dr. Jordan called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. -roll call was called for attendance.
Dr. Jordan referred to the agenda and stated the meeting is held for a Proposed Executive Session
regarding Brian P. Deeley and Anita Deeley v. William Alpine Jr.
and Susan Higgins as they are Member of the City of Beverly Board of Health, and the City of
Beverly, Superior Court 2177CV01222,pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws ch. 30A,
section 21(a)(3) (open meeting law exemption regarding discussing litigation strategy when an
open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the public body and
chair so declares during the public session).
Dr. Jordan declared an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigation position of
the Board. Dr. Jordan announced the Board will not reconvene in open session at the conclusion
of executive session.
Dr. Silva made a motion to enter executive session;Ms. Morse seconded.
Roll Call vote: Dr. Jordan—Y;Dr. Silva—Y;R. Morse—Y
The Board moved into executive session at 6:35PM
