Ellen Flannery, acting chair, calls the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
This is a hybrid meeting with special meeting format as required to honor Governor Baker's Executive
Order declared due to the national crisis of COVID-19.
Signs
1. European Wax Center, 181 Elliot Street/100 Cummings Center Barlo Signs—Jenn Robichaud
This is in the IG zoning district. The application includes two wall signs with name and internal
illumination. The wall signs are located on the primary and secondary fagades. The signs are permitted
by right via the 1998 ZBA Variance issued for the Cummings Center.
Brandon Currier represents the applicant. Currier discusses company brand standards informing the
board the applicant seeks to remove the two existing signs for smaller and cleaner adaptations. Both
signs are on a raceway with simple channel letters flush to the building. Currier confirms the raceway is
color matched to the building. Ouellette confirms the front fagade is centered over the 3 storefront
windows.The presentation included an extra window on the front fagade right-hand visual side.
There being no further comments or questions regarding the matter:
Motion: Mason moves to approve the sign as presented. Ouellette seconds. The motion carries
4-0.
