Stephanie Williams, City Solicitor, stated whether or not to accept a late file is a City Council rule as opposed to something that is controlled by the Open Meeting Law, so it is up to the Council whether or not the Council would like to accept it as a late file. If it is asking for action to be taken, typically the Attorney General's Office recommends that you do not take action on something that is submitted as a late file and that you cannot take action if the president knows of what the issue is. Williams stated she did not think there would be a problem to accept something as a late file, but it would be up to the Council. The motion to accept the late file was made and seconded. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion carried(7-0). Referred to Committee on Legal Affairs and Committee on Public Services. The motion to adjourn was made and seconded.
