City Clerk, Lisa Kent, took the attendance by roll call. Members Present: Stacy Ames, Kathleen Feldman, Timothy Flaherty, Julie Flowers, Scott Houseman, Todd Rotondo, Estelle Rand, Matthew St. Hilaire, Paul Guanci Members Absent: None Flaherty led the pledge of allegiance. Moment of Silence Mr. Tom Clark and Mrs. Janice G. McPherson Resolutions Order#237-Councilor Ames-Coach David Jellerson& Beverly High School Girls Track Program Ames, Flowers and members of the track program spoke of their appreciation for Coach Jellerson and read the resolution. The motion to approve was made and seconded. A vote was taken, and the motion carried (9-0). A motion was made and seconded to hold a brief recess. A vote was taken, and the motion carried (9-0). The City Council meeting recessed. The meeting was called back to order at 7:20pm. Ames spoke about the honor of serving Ward 3 and wished the councilors all the best moving forward. Presentations, Awards and Memorials Mayor Cahill-Recognition of Beverly residents Ella Heckman and Callie Reed, members of the Aztec Girls 2008 Impact Team who won the 2021 National Cup Championship Cahill read the proclamation for the two eighth grade girls. Flaherty spoke about his time on the Council and thanked those who support the Council and work with the Council. He also thanked his friends and family. Order#239-Beverly City Council—City Council President Paul Guanci Councilors took turns reading the resolution and presented Guanci with a gift. Flowers spoke about the kindness and generosity that Guanci shows to others. St. Hilaire, Houseman, and Rotondo also spoke about their respect and appreciation for Guanci. Guanci thanked his family and others he worked with while being a City Councilor. The motion to accept both resolutions was made and seconded. A vote was taken, and the motion carried (9-0).
