PR10052017 ■ Public meeting for design input(CPC)—5/22/17 @ 7:00 o Updated project schedule—Start in November 2017?? Complete project by May 2018?? - Oak Heights Playground: o Started project in June 2016. Met with committee on 10/13/16. ■ Committee trying to get input from DPS for grading, irrigation and site prep work. o Applied for$50,000 from CPC—Approved by City Council 10/17/16. o Bev Rec Park of the Year fund - $25,000 (FY2018) o Requested$10,000 from Lynch Trustees-Approved o Still working on details for equipment and costs of site prep to make area larger ■ Estimated at$100,000 total cost ■ New design presented at 4/6/17 P&R Commission meeting and approved in concept. o Target installation date—9/29/17- Need to get DPW to complete site prep • Many thanks to The Coastal Group for removing all of the old equipment • Working to get DPW to haul away old equipment, pull out footings and remove old mulch - Vittori Park Playground: o Project to start in November 2016—Need to meet with neighbors and church school o Installation projected for late 2017/early 2018 o Applied for$25,000 from CPC—Approved by City Council 10/17/16. o Received initial design and cost estimate from New England Recreation. Meeting with vendor soon to finalize plans. - Lynch Park Tot Lot(Reinstall): NO CHANGE o Small tot lot play structure was removed to make space for the new splash pad. Tot lot will be moved to another area next to the new large play structure. ■ Prep new area for reinstallation of tot lot—2017 ■ Install new tot lot—2018 ■ Reinstall benches that were removed to make room for splash pad ADDITIONAL NOTES(Future projects): New Artificial Turf Field @ Memorial -$1M loan approved by City Council 3/7/17—This new field will provide much needed access to fields in the spring and throughout the year for many groups (BHS, BYSA, BYGL, BYBL, many others). BHS FIELDS: - There is a desire to move ahead with another artificial turf field and stadium at BHS. - Moving ahead with softball fields at BHS(Pit area)—Spring 2018 - Moving ahead with repairs to BHS track-??? 2017 CPA Applications: Park Project CPA Request Comments Paddles' Park Install new surfacing $20,000 $30,000 total cost—Not eligible Cahill Park Replace tennis court and fencing $60,000 $75,000 total cost—Recommended $40K Lynch Carriage North Wall/ 10 Windows $150,000 $200K total?
