PR01102019 ■ Finishing touches on Basketball and Tennis courts in spring —Too cold to paint now!! o AMAZING JOB BY DPW TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT w/ MANY CHALLENGESH o City Council Proclamation on 12/3/18!!!! - Vittori Park Playground: - DONE o Completed in July!! o Need to submit CPC reimbursement paperwork. - Colgate Park Playground: - DONE o Completed in August!! o Need to submit CPC reimbursement paperwork. - Playground Equipment Repairs: o Equipment repaired at McKay, Dix and Cahill Park in March 2018. o Repairs at all other sites completed in September 2018 with a couple of minor issues TBD. o Reviewed all issues entered in QSEND. 15 issues reported. All issues resolved except court issues! - Basketball/Tennis Court Repairs: (Survey ALL Courts) o Need to complete updated inventory of all courts (15 B-ball, 6 Tennis) to estimate total cost of repairs. o Contacted Sport Tek &Vermont Surfacing to conduct survey and estimates for repairs. o Currently estimating $50011(to $1M to fix all courts - Lynch Park Office Improvements: o Replace stairs at front and side entrances — DONE o New door for front entrance— DONE o Replace existing bathroom stalls with two new bathrooms (one ADA compliant)— DONE o Add ramp, platform and new door at the other side entrance, closest to play structure — IN PROGRESS (95% COMPLETE) ■ New back door installed with ADA panic bar ■ Deck& ramp nearing completion but has been slowed by the cold &rainy weather 2018 CPA Projects: Round 5 Park Project CPA Re guest Comments NO PROJECTS NOTE: Received an additional $150K The additional $150,000 from the CPC will SUBMITTED for Pete's Park project, if needed! not be needed for the Pete's Park project. 2019 CPA Projects: Round 6 Park Project CPA Re uest Comments Herlihy/ Install some new equipment& $70,000 Original request submitted by RSCA. P&R Commission Goals for 2019: The commission discussed some goals for this year and agreed to create the following subcommittees to discuss several areas including — Benches, Regulations & Fees, Park Inspections and a Finance Committee. We will invite Bryant Ayles to the February meeting to review the General & Enterprise budgets. Beverly Golf&Tennis Commission Update: Bill Lowd discussed his meeting with the Conservation Commission and their decisions regarding cutting down trees at the BG&T Club. There are 68 trees that have been identified as needing to be removed from the course for various reasons. 12 of these trees are in wetlands buffer zones. The Conservation Commission looked at the location and condition of these trees and agreed that they may be removed provided 12 new trees are planted somewhere else on the course. Bill also mentioned that work is continuing on the plan for renovation of the BG&T Club clubhouse. Meeting adjourned at 8;28PM.
