2021 09 08 School Committee Minutes constituent ask about the status of the share tables with COVID. Ms. Visnick remarked that it should be added to an upcoming agenda. Ms. Visnick also reported that there have been many conversations about the traffic around the middle school and why parents can't park at Cummings Center, and middle school sports and intramural programs. Ms.Abell stated receiving many questions/comments regarding masking and vaccination on both sides of the topic and thanked them.A constituent asked about how we handle gifts to schools. Ms.Abell stated it is important for the public to understand more about gifts to schools and she said she would forward the information to Ms. Sherburne and Dr. Charochak regarding some past gifts. She also received questions about making busing more widely available and she would add that topic to a future agenda. Executive Session (BevCam 2:11:28) Ms.Abell made a motion to vote to meet in executive session pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws chapter 30A, section 21(a) purposes (7) and (3): * Purpose (7) to review and approve minutes from the Negotiations Subcommittee/COTW meeting of 29 July 2021 and COTW meeting of 25 August 2021, and Purpose (3): to discuss strategy with respect to and in preparation for collective bargaining with the Beverly Teachers Association Units A because an open discussion may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the Committee, and not to return to open session. The motion was seconded by Ms. Robinson and the roll call vote resulted in the following: Dr. Kenann McKenzie-Yes Kaarin Robinson -Yes Kimberley Coelho-Yes Lorinda Visnick-Yes John Mullady-Yes Mayor Michael Cahill -Yes Rachael Abell -Yes The motion passed 7:0.
