MINUTES
FEBRUARY 26, 1997
A meeting of the Building and Other Facilities Planning and Construction
Committee was held on Wednesday, February 26, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. at the Briscoe
Middle School, School Committee Room. Present were Ray Bouchard, Thad
Siemasko, Mike Nardella, Tim Brennan, Rod Maxner, School Business Manager
Judith Mulligan, Phil Hubbard of the Community Development Office and Norman
Ganley of the Beverly Commission on Disabilities.
As the meeting was not properly posted, no votes will be taken this evening. Ray
asked for comments on the proposals received for designer services for the City Hall
accessibility improvements. General consensus was that the short list would be
comprised of Meyer and Meyer, Naecker Ammondson and Stubbins. These three
firms will be invited for 30 minute interviews on next Wednesday, March 5, 1997
beginning at 6:30 p.m. Ray suggested that the City should consider having an
architect on retainer to save time and money on small construction projects.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
