1996-01-16ELEMENTARY FACILITIES BUILDING COMMISSION MINUTES
On Tuesday, January 16, 1996 the Elementary FaCilities Building Commission
met at 6:00 p.m. at the Briscoe Middle School. Present were Earl Flansburgh,
Jeanne Kuespert and Chris Sgarzi of Earl Flansburgh & Associates, Mike
Radner of Geller Associates, Rod Maxner, Judy Mulligan, Nancy Levin, Mike
Lauranzano, John Drislane and Larry Chase. Duncan Mc CIelland of Earl
Flansburgh & Associates arrived at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Flansburgh passed out an
agenda, a programming questionnaire for teachers and a sheet on parking
requirements at each school (copies attached). There was discussion about the
additional square footage that will be necessary to accomodate full day
kindergarten at all schools and three classes per grade at the new McKay
School as voted by the School Committee. Mr. Flansburgh stated that a survey
of each site would be needed within the next four weeks. Mike Lauranzano
asked Judy Mulligan to send correspondence to the Mayor requesting that
Public Works provide this service. At 7:35 p.m. Mike Lauranzano made a
motion, seconded by Nancy Levin that the committee move into Executive
Session to discuss the architect's contract and then return to Open Session. At
8:00 p.m. the meeting returned to Open Session. Nancy Levin made a motion,
seconded by Mike Lauranzano, to accept and approve the minutes of the last
meeting. Thejneeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
