1996-01-22ELEMENTARY FACILITIES BUILDING COMMISSION MINUTES
On Monday, January 22, 1996 a meeting of the Elementary Facilities Building
Commission was held at 8:00 a.m. at the Briscoe Middle School. Present were
Michael Lauranzano, John Drislane, Tom Scully, Rod Maxner, Judy Mulligan,
Marshall Handly and David Soleau and Duncan Mc Clelland of Earl
Flansburgh & Associates. David Soleau handed out copies of the revised
contract proposal. Nancy Levin arrived at 8:20 a.m. There was much
discussion regarding the proposed architect's fee. Rod Maxner left the
meeting at 9:00 a.m. The issue of reimbursable expenses was discussed at
length. After much deliberation an agreement was reached for a fee of
$2,200,000 through construction with no ordinary reimbursable expenses.
Chairman Mike Lauranzano requested City Solicitor Marshall Handly to meet
with the architects on Friday, January 26, 1996 to finalize a contract. The
meeting adjourned about 9:30 a.m.
