1996-02-20ELEMENTARY FACILITIES BUILDING COMMISSION
The Elementary Facilities Building Commission met on Tuesday, February
20, 1996 at the Briscoe Middle School at 2:00 p.m. bresent were Michael
Lauranzano, Nancy Levin, John Drislane, Judy Mulligan, Rod Maxner, Tom
Scully, Earl Flansburgh and Jeanne Kuespert of Earl Flansburgh & Associates,
and Mike Radner of Geller Associates. Minutes of the last meeting were
handed out by Judy Mulligan. After review of the minutes, a motion was
made by John Drislane and seconded by Mike Lauranzano to accept and
approve them. Mayor ScanIon arrived at 2:15. The Commission reviewed a
proposal from ERF & A to eliminate the addition to Hannah and cut back on
the addition to Cove. This proposal was made in light of the demographics
submitted to the DOE which indicated a current elementary enrollment of
2545 and a projected enrollment of 2540 in ten years. The Mayor suggested
that the classrooms be added back to Cove and that ERF & A move forward
on that assumption. Judy was asked to make sure that ERF & A was on the
agenda for the next principal's meeting in order to discuss each project. A
meeting that had been previously posted for Thursday, February 22 at 12:00
noon was canceled. The next meeting will be held Monday, February 26, 1996
at 12:00 noon.
Respectfully submitted,
Judith A. Mulligan
