1996-03-11ELEMENTARY FACILITIES BUILDING COMMISSION
The Elementary Facilities Building Commission rrtet on Monday, March 11,
1996 at the Briscoe Middle School at 12:00 noon. Present were Michael
Lauranzano, Nancy Levin, John Drislane, Dr. Chase, Tom Scully, Judy
Mulligan, Rod Maxner, Michele Gordon of Food Services; Principals Don
Argyrople, Tom Kokos, Bill Foley, Betsy Frattaroli and Rhonda Gauthier;
Mayor ScanIon; Earl Flansburgh, Jack Campbell, Chris Scarzi, David Soleau
and Doug Murray of Earl Flansburgh & Associates; Mike Radner of Geller
Associates and Bob McHugh of the School Commitee. ERF + A handed out
an agenda and a program parity spreadsheet. The architect's staff gave an
overview of schematic designs of each building. The principals asked many
questions about each desigh and each site plan. They were asked to bring any
questions or concerns thought of at a later date to the attention of Judy
Mulligan or Mike Lauranzano. There was a discussion about the RFP for food
services consultant. Michele Gordon addressed the Building Commission
regarding her concerns about the size of kitchens and the scope of work
included in the bid. John Drislane made a motion, seconded by Mike
Lauranzano, to accept the proposal from Crabtree McGrath. It was
unanimously voted. Mike Lauranzano made a motion, seconded by Nancy
Levin, to accept the schematic designs dated 3/11/96 as presented. It was so
voted unanimously. Mike Lauranzano asked ERF+A to have new cost
estimates available for the next meeting which will be held on Wednesday,
March 13, 1996 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 2:30 p.m.
