The Elementary Facilities Building Commission met on Monday, March 25,
1996 at 12:00 noon. Present were Mike Lauranzano, Nancy Leyin, Rod

recommended Weston and Sampson. Mike Lauranzano moved and Nancy
Levin seconded to accept the proposal from Weston and Sampson. It was
voted to approve 2-0. lohn Drislane arrived at 12:25 p.m. There was
discussion about the necessity of hiring a Furniture and Equipment
consultant fairly quickly. It was decided that the libraries and cafeterias would
need some new equipment but that the classroom should be furnished with
as much existing furniture as possible. It was decided that the School Dept.
would inventory furniture at the schools destined to be closed (Edwards,
McKay and Washington/Beadle) within the next two weeks. An inventory of
computers would also be taken. The type, size and quality of existing
furniture will impact the scope of the Furniture and Equipment proposal.
John Drislane left the meeting at 1:00 p.m. There was a discussion of parking
at the Hannah site. Several proposals will be shown to the principal and
reviewed next week. The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 1, 1996
at 12:00 noon at the Brisc0e Middle School.
