1887-11-29November 29, 1887 In board of school committee. Present Messrs. Baker, Giddings, Galloupe, Danforth, Hinkley, Griffin, Cole. Voted to close the schools on Wednesday afternoon December 7 on account of the lecture on the battle of Gettysburg to be given at Town Hall. Voted to print extracts from [illegible] and from the votes of the school [illegible] relating to contagious diseases and distribute them among the several teachers and physicians in town. Voted to authorize the sub-committee of the Centerville School to repair the wall between the school house and the engine house and grade the lot there where needed. Voted to pay the several teachers for four weeks time in November. Mr. Baker objected to this vote as only three weeks services had been rendered. Voted to adjourn. Wm. H. Lovett, Secretary
