1887-07-05July 5, 1887 In board of school committee. Present Messr. Baker, Hinkley, Griffin, Giddings, Galloupe, Loring, Boyden, Danforth. Voted that the sum fifteen hundred (1500) dollars be reported to the town as the amount needed for school purposes in addition to the sum appropriated at the annual meeting. Voted to re-elect Benj. P. Hurd, principal of the High School. Voted to re-elect the South School teachers. Voted to re-elect the Farms School teachers. Voted to re-elect the Centerville School teachers. Voted that the pay of Mr. Hurd be at the rate of fourteen hundred (1400) dollars annually. Voted the pay of Messr. Griffing and Wilde be at the rate of six hundred and fifty (650) dollars each. Voted that the pay of Mr. Hall be at the rate of seven hundred and fifty (750) dollars. Voted that the pay of the other teachers elected be at the same rate as that of last year.
