1887-07-22July 22, 1887 In board of school committee. All present. Voted that the sub-committee of the Washington school be authorized to build an outside chimney and headway. Voted that the sub-committee of the Briscoe School be authorized to put a new floor in the basement make other repairs an expense not exceeding five hundred (500) dollars. The proposals for painting the Dodge’s Row School House were as follows, viz; J.V. Porter & Co. $113.00 Cain & Danforth $99.90 Voted that the sub-committee of the Dodge’s Row School be authorized to have that building painted. Voted that the sub-committee of the Centerville School be authorized spend for repairs on that building a sum not exceeding one hundred (100) dollars. Voted that Louisa M. Ford be teacher of the South Intermediate School in place of Miss Kilham resigned. Voted that Nora E. Curtis be teacher South firstprimary school in place of Miss Ford promotion. Voted that Louisa Hawkes be teacher in the South School, primary department. Voted that Lizzie Hull be teacher of the Farms Primary Schools in place of Miss Wentworth resigned. Voted that the committee on school supplies be authorized to have repaired such of the school books as they think expedient. Voted to adjourn till Thursday evening next. Wm. H. Lovett, Secretary
