1886-09-17September 17, 1886 In board of school committee. Presnt Messr. Baker, Moulton, Tuck, Griffin, Hinkley, Boyden. Voted to proceed to take measures to establish a Central Grammar School. Votes that Messr. Moulton, Griffin, Giddings be a sub-committee for the Central Grammar School and report a plan for such school. Voted that no scholars be admitted to the Central Grammar school except those who have passed the first class in a grammar school or [illegible] who are not members of any school without [illegible] of the government committee.
