1885-05-23May 23, 1885 Building Committee met. Voted to accept the ground plan presented by Mr. Ober. Voted that a cellar be placed under the whole building excepting the boiler room. Voted to accept the elevation above the underpinning. Voted that the Messrs. Baker and Giddings be a committee to make a contract with Mr. Ober at a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars. Voted that the work on cellar above the underpinning be done by the day. Voted that the flooring and timber remaining be sold at auction and taken away forthewith. Voted to advertise of proposals for building the school house, without restrictions, reserving the right to reject any and all proposals. Voted that John I. Baker, Peter E. Clark, Wrn. W. Hinkley, Joeseph D. Tuck, and Daniel Foster be the Building Committee for the South School House. Voted to adjourn till Saturday evening next. Secretary, Protem
