Minutes of previous meeting were accepted as written.
PARKS: New equipment at McKay is done including fencing.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Commission letter to City Council regarding removal of equipment. Letter was approved with a few corrections.

Discussed Centerville equipment. It was agreed that $20,000 be spent at Longfellow for equipment for young
children due to space and safety considerations and that the additional money be spent for more equipment at
Cahill Park which is the community park for that area.

Reviewed rates for summer programs. Most have been slightly increased. Rates were approved as presented.

Discussed park hours in particular earlier closing for some parks such Obear Park. Change in hours would require
City Council approval to change the ordinance. An exact time such as 8 pm was suggested instead of dusk. Joan
will talk to the Chief of Police to see how many complaints have been received.

Discussed new position. Job description was reviewed. Joan has been meeting with Chris Bradley and Tom
Scully.

Discussed new field space. Discussed limitations and problems of various sites including Moraine Farm.
Possibilities at Memorial, Cove School and North Beverly were reviewed.
LYNCH TRUSTEES
They have been notified that FEMA will not be coming forward with any funding for the seawall repair. The Trustees
will therefore not be receiving reimbursement for the funds they have committed to the project. Discussed barn roof.
