Minutes of Meeting - Thursday, June 17, 1999
Meeting called to order at 6:05 p.m.
All members present. Lt. Roccio also present.
1. One-day licenses application from Jubilee Yacht Club for a weekend
fundraiser. Discussion - They have a full license on the premises.
Have they had licenses for the outside area in the past? Yes. Will not
be setting a precedent if the license is for more than 4 hours? No, they
have had licenses many times in the past.
Clerk asked to check past records. Tabled to next meeting.
Fusion's - No one present.
One day licenses:
Endicott College - EIder Hostel - 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Montserrat College of Art - June 30 - 4:00-6:30 p.m.
TUV at Endicott College - 4 hour limit.
Dialogos - August 21 - Endicott College - 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Washington's Naval Base - July 30 - 7:00 - 11:00 p.m., Beverly
Senior Center - This is subject to waiver by the City Council to allow
alcohol on public property.

Millimen & Robinson - July 23 - Endicott - 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
NELA - July 15 - Endicott - 4:00 - 8:00p.m.
Motion by Mr. Heller, seconded by Mr. Ranta to approve the above
one-day licenses. Motion carried 3-0.
4. Discussion re Goat Hill Grill for an extension of hours.
5. Communication from ABCC r_e Kitty O'Shea's for a hearing for
possible violations. Discussed. Received and placed on file.
Communication from Registry of Motor Vehicles and ABCC r_e new
program for use of false identification. Copy given to Lt. Roccio.
Received and placed on file.
Jeff Stern from Fusion's arrived at meeting concerning his application
for an Entertainment License. He would like to be allowed to have
dinner music, soft jazz in the summer on the patio from 6:00-10:00
p.m., and an acoustical guitar in the winter, 2-3 pieces. Sunday
evenings 6:00 - 10:00, on Tuesdays, open mike starting at 9:00 and
finishing around 11:00. It will not be amplified, just getting local
entertainers together.
Are there any residents that would be affected? I live above the
restaurant. Don't think there will be any objections from neighbors.
Will not be Friday and Saturday nights.
Lt. Roccio thought there might be complaints from the elderly complex
across the street. If there are enough complaints, Mr. Stern would have
to come before the Board again.
Motion by Mr. Ranta that the Entertainment License be issued from
Monday through Saturday evenings. Second by Mr. Heller. Motion

carried 3-0. Mr. Stern was told he would need a separate license from
the Mayor's Office for a Sunday Entertainment License
