1996-12-19 LICENSE BOARD WILLIAM F. TERRY, Chairman OLIVER T. COOK, Esq. CITY OF BEVERLY GEORGE HELLER MASSACHUSETTS MINUTES - BEVERLY LICENSE BOARD, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1996 Meeting called to order at 2:10 p.m. All members present. Issuance of 1997 licenses - Licenses distributed to licensees according to schedule. Discussion re New Year's Eve. The Board as usual will allow a 2:00 a.m. closing for that evening. Communication from New England Health and Racquet notifying the Board that they would not be renewing their license. Motion made and seconded to accept their decision not to renew the license for 1997. Motion carried 3-0. Communication from Anchor Pub & Grille requesting an Entertainment License. Mr. Cook disqualified himself from this discussion and vote. Mr. Heller asked what type of entertainment they were planning. Mrs. Boudreau said they were going to try Karaoke and something quiet. Mr. Terry stated that he would like to set guidelines that they have no more than 3 pieces for entertainment. Motion - Mr. Heller - that the Entertainment License be approved with the stipulation that no more than 3 pieces be allowed. Seconded by Mr. Terry. Motion carried 2-0. Mr. Cook resumed his position on the Board. One day license - Motion - Mr. Cook - that the application for a one-day license from the School for Field Studies be approved. Motion seconded.
