Meeting called to order at 6:11 p.m.
All members present
Chairman Terry introduced the Board.
1. TJ's Pub - Transfer of license from Pranzare at 338-
342 Rantoul Street to Thomas Field for an All Alcoholic
Beverage Restaurant License. Mr. Field present.
License at the property has been turned in. License must
be considered a transfer.
Mr. Terry - Is the license to be pledged? No.
inventory be pledged? No.
Will the
#14B - Do you have any direct or indirect financial
interest in a license in Massachusetts? No.
Any remodeling? Maybe in the future. May want to put in
a deck.
Mr. Terry - Who owns the building? Rocky Carnevale, 90
Kernwood Avenue. How about the lease? Beginning day of
April. Tentative starting date. April 1. Two year
lease with options.
#14E - Ever been convicted of violating any state or
federal laws? No.
Mr. Field - His intention to have pub type food in the $8
- $9 range. My parents worked at what is now the Wine
Cellar. Worked with my father. Also owned a package
store in Gloucester.
Mr. Terry - Do you know the laws? Yes. Are you going to
have help trained by TIPS? We suggest that you have them
get training so that they will be certified. You are
going to be open 7 days a week? Yes, would like to be.

Mr. Cook - You live a 5 Ames Street in Beverly. Yes.
Did you have any problems when you had the store in
Gloucester. No problems. Are you going to give up your
present job. Would like to be able to do both but do not
thing I would be able to do both.
Mr. Terry - Anyone present to speak in favor of the
license? No one present. Anyone present to oppose the
granting of the license? No one present.
Mr. Heller - Motion to approve the transfer of license
from Pranzare to TJ's Pub. Seconded by Mr. Cook. Motion
carried 3-0.
2. Peter Harrison,
Entertainment License.
Ryan, the Bar Manager.
Season's - application for an
Peter Harrison present with John
Mr. Harrison - Trying to beef up business early part of
week. Place is small. Would like to have some jazz,
acoustical guitar. Incorporate music with food.
Mr. Terry - How many nights? 3-4. There are tenants
upstairs and next door? We have acoustic ceiling and
insulation. How many people in the groups? 1 - 3, maybe
4. Very small and we will be limited.
Mr. Heller - If the residents are annoyed, we may have to
change it at a later date. We are looking at dinner
music.
Mr. Cook - Would like groups limited to four pieces.
Mr. Cook - Motion - that the application for an
entertainment license be allowed conditional that groups
have no more that 4 persons. Seconded by Mr. Heller.
Motion carried 3-0.
3. Communication from David Gould returning his license
at 338-342 Rantoul Street to the City. Communication
received and placed on file.
Next meeting scheduled for April 9.
