Application for an extension of hours by the Goat Hill Grille. Thomas Alexander representing applicant. Copy of ad submitted. About a year ago Mr. Murphy applied for a license. Mike's Place had gone bankrupt. It had a bad reputation. The neighbors had a lot of problems. There are a lot of neighbors. Lot of people in the area. Lot of people disturbed. Fair to say it was an involved hearing. Feeling at that time they wanted to have us show them what we could do. Have a probationary period. Everyone wanted to see what kind of establishment he would run. Reasonable place to eat. Food is good. It has become a neighborhood place. Think it has been a good neighbor. Would like to extend the hours from 11:00 to 12:30. He has been a good neighbor. Like to be similar to the other restaurants in the city. Anyone present to speak in favor or against. Mike Casey, #707. I was at the meeting a year ago. Made various representations. Very pleased that they lived up to the. representations. Very strongly in support of the application. Minutes- July 8, 1999 Page 2 Paul Fitzgerald #512 - I was at the meeting last year. I frequent the restaurant. It is competitive and should be given an opportunity. Cunningham, 60 Rantoul - Am in opposition. Late hours draws a different clientele. Open late will draw different people. Peter Riley - Chairman of the Trustees. Was very vocal at the last meeting. Parking and noise we two issues. I represent what is a cautious optimism. He has been a very good neighbor. Noise inside the restaurant is not heard outside. In addition, the Goat Hill Grille has become a good neighbor and an asset. In full support with proviso that there still be a vigilance of making sure that people get on their way. A little more attention to the dumpster noise. Any problems, Lt. Roccio? Since last year I cannot say I am aware of any incidents. No objection. Pleased to see the restaurant doing well.
