John Young presided.
There was no meeting on Tuesday, April 27, 2004.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Joanne Avallon, to accept the minutes of the Finance
Committee of March 30, 2004 as read. Motion passed.

Committee Reports
Personnel: The library director’s evaluation is almost complete. Helga Senko, John Young, and
Tom Scully will meet on June 2, 2004 to review the evaluation.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Lorrie Manning: Lorrie Manning, full-time circulation staff member, died last week. 2) Farms
Fund Raiser: May 22 fund raiser raised at least $40,000. 3) Farms dedication: Public dedication
will be Sunday, June 13. 4) Farms Opening: Tuesday, June 1, 2004. 5) Conrad Gift: Final
settlement of the estate will not be until after the summer. 6) Cell Tower: The city received two
bids. 7) Budget: The Mayor will submit library budget to the City Council that includes $175,000
for books. No salary increases will be in the proposed budget. Library budget hearing will be

The next regular meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at the Farms
Library.
