TRUSTEES MEETING
September 25, 2001
Chair John Young called the meeting to order.
Present were Edward Brindle, Helga Senko, Kevin O’Reilly, Lindsay Diehl, Joanne Panunzio, John
Young and Neil Olson.
Absent: Diana Costa.
Tom Scully reported that Kay Fanning had resigned her seat on the Board due to ill health.
Motion:
By Neil Olson, seconded by Ed Brindle to approve the minutes of the Trustees meeting of
June 26, 2001.
Motion:
By Neil Olson, to accept the minutes of the Long Range Planning Committee meetings of
August 21, and August 29, 2001.
Committee Reports
Personnel Committee
: Chair Lindsay Diehl reported that she and Neil Olson and met with
Library Director Tom Scully to review his annual performance review. She recommended that the
process begin a few months earlier next year.
Administration Committee
: Chair Kevin O’Reilly reported that there had been no meeting.
The Committee will probably meet soon to discuss planning for the renovation of the Farms Branch
Library.
Finance Committee
: Helga Senko asked about the Uniform Contract Line Item in the
budget. Tom Scully replied that that line item was a contractual item used to buy work clothes for
the library custodians.
Library Director’s Report
: The report was mailed in advance and is appended to these
minutes.
Motion
: By Neil Olson, seconded by Kevin O’Reilly to approve the Library Long Range Plan.
Voted unanimously.
