LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
April 25, 2000
Beverly Farms Library - We have received a pledge of $25,000 from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paine
Metcalf. A lawn party is being planned for the Saturday after Labor Day.
Puppet Show - The Childrens Room sponsored a puppet show for the 4th graders in the public
schools; the cost split with the School Dept.
Computers - We have installed the newest version of software for our new catalog and circulation
computers. This pretty nearly completes the upgrade of our library computer system.
Legislative Day - I attended Legislative Day at the State House on April 5th.
Flooding Problem - The building remained dry through the heavy weekend rains. If we can get
through a real tropical downpour, I think we will be able to rest easy.
