Personnel Committee Meeting
December 13, 1973 3:15 P.M.
The Personnel Committee met at the Library on the above date. Present Mr. Lovett, presiding, Mrs.
Conrad, Miss Standley and Mr. Tappan.
The Educational Reimbursement Policy was approved, and recommended to the full Board.
A Page pay scale, to be implemented July, 1, 1974, was recommended to the full Board.
Miss Darlene Seotti's provisional status as Head of Circulation Department was discussed.
Her case was reviewed in considerable detail--especially her attendance record, number of
classes taken to meet the conditions under which she had been provisionally appointed, and
her overall work record. The Committee voted unanimously as follows:
VOTED: Inasmuch as Miss Seotti has not fulfilled the educational requirements agreed upon
with the Board of Trustees (only one course completed since provisional appointment
in May, 1972) and due to her extremely high absenteeism (approximately three times
the normal rate), the Personnel Committee recommends that Miss Scotti not be
granted permanent status as Head of Circulation and that she be returned to her former
position as Library Assistant. Further the Personnel Committee recommends that Miss
Scotti be encouraged to seek employment elsewhere.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:00 P.M.
