Diane Costa presided.
Trustees and citizen advisory committee met to discuss the long range plan.
There was a brief review of the previous five year plan. There was a general discussion of goals
and objectives.
Tom Scully presented graphs and charts that showed library usage and statistics. Some issues
raised were: 1. Why are circulation figures so low for Kittredge Crossing and Downtown Beverly
West? 2. How can the library provide better service to North Beverly West? 3. Teenage reading
spikes during the summer months.
There was a discussion on how to enhance library services to patrons not living near library
buildings. There was also a discussion on how to promote library services.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
