Present: Kay Fanning, Chairperson~ Richard Buckley. Also present: Larry Smith, Kevin Murphy, Joel
Margolis.
The Administration Committee met with members of the Commission to study the roof situation at
the Main Library. Discussion concerned whether or not to maintain or remove the skylights; and the
need to have the masonry work contracted separately from the roofing work. A time frame was
discussed, using November 1, 1982 as the final date for having all work completed.
The Commission will review the Technical Assistance Energy Audit which was done for the library,
as well as a second consultant's report. They will contact Alan Taubert to see if he would be able to
draw up the proper specifications for bidding. Mr. Buckley suggested offering alternate methods in
the specifications for dealing with the skylight. The Trustees will review and vote on the
specifications when completed.
